Major seizure of drugs in Palakkad, three including woman held

PALAKKAD: Three including a woman have been taken into custody with one kilo of MDMA. A couple and their friend were detained from Olavakkode in Palakkad. Along with MDMA, cocaine, hybrid ganja and LSD were also seized from them. Azharuddin of Vengara, his wife Befathima of Mangalore and Muhammed Nizin from Kanjirapally are those taken into custody.

The drugs seized are worth Rs one crore in the market. The drugs were brought to Kerala for special sales during the Onam season. The drugs were smuggled from Bangaluru in an Innova car rented from Tamil Nadu. Police said the accused are regular drug traffickers and a major racket is behind them.
