Man slits wife’s throat following dispute in Nalanchira

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A man killed his wife by slitting her throat in Nalanchira. The dead has been identified as Haseena Beevi (36) staying near Udiyanoor Temple. Her husband Suresh (46) soon fled in a car after committing the crime. He murdered her in front of their children following a family dispute. Her body was found in the bedroom of the house. The couple’s daughter Amritha informed the police station. They arrived and took her to the medical college hospital, but her life could not be saved.

The couple belonging to Vattiyoorkavu was staying in a rented house in Nalanchira. There were frequent disputes between the two. Haseena had recently filed a complaint against Suresh. The police officers said Suresh was summoned to the police station to solve the issue. A dispute broke out early this morning and in a fit of rage he took a knife from the kitchen and slit her throat. After the murder, he washed the knife and kept it back in the kitchen and then fled from the area. Police and forensic team have arrived and are collecting evidence. A search has been intensified for him.
