THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Crucial information is out in the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) exam cheating case. There are reports that four more people from Haryana have been detained in the case. There are indications of the involvement of larger groups. The suspects had boarded a plane to write the examination. The main accused was promising jobs and charging huge sums of money from the candidates who came to his coaching centre.

The impersonation took place in the examination for the post of VSSC Technician - B category. Manoj Kumar and Gautam Chauhan wrote the exam under the names of Sunil and Sumit. The examination was held in Cotton Hill and Pattom St. Mary's schools. Reports indicate that such cheating during examinations has occurred in various parts of the country.

They used a belly belt to hide a phone, which they used to take pictures of the question paper. They discreetly communicated with a person through a wireless earpiece, seeking assistance in answering the paper. A small Bluetooth headset in the ear will listen to the answer spoken by the other party with more than 70 out of 80 marks. Meanwhile, during the examination, the police received an anonymous phone message about cheating during the exam. This triggered a thorough investigation.
