THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More than 3,500 seats under the sports quota for Plus One admissions remain vacant, with the number of applicants falling far short of the available seats. According to the supplementary allotment list, 3,514 sports quota seats are still vacant across Kerala.
Only 351 students received allotments under the sports quota in the supplementary round. Admissions based on the allotment have begun, and candidates can complete the admission process until 4 pm on Friday. Although 3,865 seats are available under the sports quota, only 387 eligible candidates applied for the supplementary allotment. As a result, 3,514 seats remain unfilled after the allotment process.
Thiruvananthapuram district has the highest number of vacant seats, with 401 still unfilled. The Joint Registrar of Higher Secondary Education urged all students who have received allotments to complete their admissions, stating that this is the final allotment under the sports quota. The vacant sports quota seats will be converted into general category seats and included in the next supplementary allotment.
