Delayed CM’s police medal list out: 282 to receive state honour

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The list of chief minister's police medals has been released. The medals are for 282 people who have rendered commendable service in various forces. There was news the other day that the delay in the chief minister's police medal was a serious failure on the part of the home department. Following this, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala intervened and expedited the proceedings.

The chief minister's police medal is an honour given by the state for excellent service. The medal is usually announced on the eve of Independence Day. However, this time the list was delayed due to the negligence of the officials of the home department. The minister intervened and the medal list was released very late.
