KOZHIKODE: A former Malayali pilot was arrested with MDMA. Arshad Ali alias Ajju (36), of Kozhikode and a former pilot of a private airline, was arrested from Landmark Society Apartment, Daulatabad, Gurugram with 814 grams of MDMA. The police said that it is worth Rs 35 lakh in the international market.

It is heard that he bought the drug from Noida for Rs 5 lakh. The deal between the dealer and Arshad was that would pay the remaining amount after selling it.

He bought MDMA initially only for his own needs. However, after knowing about the huge profits he could get from the trade, he turned to selling it. The police believe that he may have earned a lot of money by selling the drug in this way. He is being interrogation. He was a pilot earlier; he does not have any other job now.

Meanwhile, the police are continuing investigation into the Vadakara MDMA case. Kannur Range DIG K Karthik had stated yesterday that lakhs of rupees have been deposited into the teachers' accounts and a detailed investigation will be conducted into the huge network behind this. The police suspect that some others are involved in the trafficking. Some are under surveillance. It is not clear whether there will be more arrests in this case.
