KASARAGOD: A holiday was declared for educational institutions tomorrow in two districts following an orange alert and heavy rainfall. The holiday will be applicable to professional colleges, schools, nurseries, Kendriya Vidyalayas, CBSE and ICSE schools, tuition centres and madrasas. However, the holiday will not apply to residential schools. There will also be no change in the scheduled university exams and interviews.
As the Indian Meteorological Department issued an orange alert for three consecutive days in Kannur district and there is a possibility of heavy rain, all educational institutions, including professional colleges in the district, will be declared a holiday tomorrow (01/07/2026, Wednesday). The holiday will apply to all educational institutions, including professional colleges, schools, anganwadis, tuition centres, ICSE, and CBSE. Schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, and religious educational institutions, including madrasas. The holiday will not apply to residential schools. There will be no change in the pre-scheduled university/public examinations and interviews.
