NEW DELHI: The long-awaited BJP reorganisation is likely to take place on Monday. The new vice-presidents, general secretaries, secretaries, national spokespersons and various front leaders, who will work under the new president Nitin Nabin, will be announced.

From Kerala, K Surendran and Anil Antony are expected to hold important positions. Considering the backlash caused by the student protests, more young leaders may be given responsibility.

While the monsoon session proceedings were disrupted due to opposition protests, discussions related to the reorganisation were active in Parliament under the leadership of Home Minister Amit Shah. The defeat in the Bankipur by-election in Bihar, Nitin Nabin's old constituency, also contributed to the speeding up of the reorganisation.

Appointments will be made in a way to benefit from next year's Uttar Pradesh and Punjab assembly elections and the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. Dharmendra Pradhan, who resigned earlier following the CJP protest, may be moved to an organisational role. A reshuffle of the central cabinet is also expected soon. Some of the current party in-charges may become ministers.
