ALAPPUZHA: A young man was stabbed to death by another in a dispute over an extramarital affair in Alappuzha. The victim was identified as Manish (29) of Punnakkal house in Mangalam ward, Alappuzha. The accused, Robin Francis, a native of Mangalam ward, was arrested by the North police. His wife also suffered injuries.

Police arrested Robin from Aroor by checking his mobile phone location. The incident took place at Manish's rented house in Mangalam at around 5.30 pm yesterday.

According to police:

Robin was often suspicious of the close contact maintained by Manish and his wife. Manish and Robin are first cousins. The suspicion worsened on Sunday after Robin’s wife visited Manish at his residence. A quarrel broke out, and then Robin stabbed his cousin. Though Manish was rushed to the hospital by locals, his life could not be saved.
