THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Election Commission has launched a special campaign to include new voters and those whose names were left out of the electoral rolls. The campaign began on October 15 across all Assembly constituencies in Kerala, with the aim of ensuring that every eligible voter is included in the voters' list.
Help desks will function at village offices across the state until October 31 to assist voters. Those with complaints related to the electoral rolls or who need help submitting Form 6 can approach these help desks. Voters can also seek assistance through the helpline number 1950.
New voters and those whose names were previously deleted from the electoral rolls can apply for inclusion using Form 6. Form 7 can be used to raise objections to the inclusion of a name in the voters' list or to request the deletion of an existing entry.
Form 8 can be submitted to request a change of address, correction of details in the existing electoral roll, a replacement voter ID card or the inclusion of a disability status in the records.
The campaign aims to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral rolls. To achieve this, 14 District Election Officers, 140 Electoral Registration Officers, 3,000 BLO Supervisors and 30,471 Booth Level Officers are working across the state.
