KOCHI: The Kadavanthra police will grill actor Tini Tom again after the court directed to register a case on actress Ansiba Hassan’s complaint. The statements of actors Neena Kurup and Shwetha Menon will be recorded. The police will not take any steps including the arrest of Tiny Tom. Further action will be taken only after examining the statements of the actors.

The Ernakulam district sessions court had yesterday directed to register a case against his communal remarks on the complaint filed by Ansiba. The court had directed to probe the complaints including insulting the modesty of a woman. The stand of the Kadavanthra police earlier was that there was no evidence to register a case on her complaint. The court intervened on the plea filed by Ansiba against it.

Ansiba's complaint says the reason for her resignation from the executive panel of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) was due to the mental harassment of Tini Tom. Her complaint said that Tini Tom had called her a 'jihadi', accused her of religious conversion and personally abused her. Ansiba had also stated that she got the information from Neena Kurup.

However, the Kadavanthra police submitted a report to the ACP, stating that Ansiba's complaint was baseless and that a case could not be registered based on hearsay alone. Tini Tom, former AMMA office bearers Shwetha Menon and Lakshmipriya had denied the allegations and given statements. With this, Ansiba approached the court.
