KOCHI: A woman who arrived with her parents after claiming of getting admission to MBBS course at Kottayam Medical College, went missing. She arrived with her family on Wednesday, saying that she needed to join the hostel. While her parents were waiting outside, she entered the hostel and then left the premises through another route. When she failed to return even after a long time, a search was launched, and was later found in Kochi.
The 21-year-old from Methala in Ernakulam had told her family that she had secured admission to the MBBS course at Kottayam Medical College and that, since the admission formalities had been completed, she needed to join the hostel. She then arrived here with her relatives on Wednesday and later went missing.
The woman’s mother, Raseena Beevi, later filed a missing complaint with the Gandhinagar police in Kottayam. During the investigation based on CCTV footage, police found that the woman had entered an ATM in Ernakulam and withdrawn money. After examining CCTV footage from the area, police located the woman. Meanwhile, Kottayam Medical College authorities informed the family that she has not got admission.
