'I am not in jail. I am sitting in my Punch'; YouTuber Helen of Sparta shares new video after being booked for drunken driving

KASARAGOD: YouTuber S.R. Dhanya, popularly known as Helen of Sparta, has released a new video after being booked for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

In the video, Dhanya said, "I am not in jail. I am sitting in my Punch. Please don't keep calling and troubling my father and mother. I am currently at the DYSP office for an important matter. Everyone, please stop calling my parents and disturbing them."

Dhanya, a native of Perumbala, was caught during a vehicle inspection in Kumbla at around 2 a.m. on Thursday.

According to the police, her car was found parked in the middle of National Highway 66. When officers approached the vehicle, it allegedly sped away, prompting a chase. Police eventually intercepted the car at Bhagavathi Nagar near Bandiyod.

A breathalyser test reportedly confirmed that Dhanya was driving under the influence of alcohol. Police have registered a case against the YouTuber. According to reports, officials later released the vehicle after collecting the prescribed fine from Dhanya.
