KOCHI: Actress Ansiba Hassan resigned from the executive committee of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) after levelling serious revelations. Differences of opinion among the members of the governing body and financial allegations led to her resignation. Her revelations led to major controversies. The dispute, which started as an internal issue of AMMA, escalated to a police case.
Following Ansiba's demand for a special committee to resolve the dispute, a dispute reconciliation committee consisting of Ramesh Pisharody, Ponnamma Babu and Muthumani was formed. These three are in addition to the president and secretary of 'AMMA'. Meantime, Ansiba has not yet responded whether she will appear before the committee to resolve the dispute.
Ansiba had told media that when actress Lakshmi Priya filed a complaint against her, she had asked the organization to intervene, but AMMA president responded that they had nothing to do with it. Lakshmi Priya later told the executive committee that the president had supported her on the same issue. ‘I don't know what will happen to the committee consisting of a double standard president and secretary. The organization has not only charity but also has the responsibility of resolving problems among members,’ said Ansiba.
