THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister K N Balagopal said Pathradhipar K Sukumaran was one who took a strong stand in the renaissance movement of Kerala. The stand he took on issues including reservation paved the way for many changes later. Balagopal remembered that even when he states his own opinions strongly, he did not hesitate to accept criticism.
Th minister said this while inaugurating the commemoration meeting organized by Kerala Kaumudi Non-Journalists Association at the office of Kerala Kaumudi on the 44th death anniversary of Pathradhipar K Sukumaran.
Kerala Kaumudi non-journalists’ association general secretary K S Sabu presided over the function. BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar and UDF Convener Adoor Prakash MP delivered speeches. Association president V Balagopal welcomed the gathering and working president S R Anil Kumar delivered the vote of thanks.
Many including Ministers V Sivankutty and Ramachandran Kadannappally paid floral tributes at the resting place of the editor in the Kerala Kaumudi premises this morning.
