Woman swept away while trying to save child in Kuttiyadi River; search ongoing

KOZHIKODE: A woman was swept away by strong currents in the Kuttiyadi River on Saturday. Sudheesh's wife Ramya died in the incident. The accident took place in the Thottathamkandi area of ​​Paleri. Their five-year-old child was swept away in the river, and Ramya fell into the river while trying to save the child. The search for the child is ongoing.

The accident occurred at around 5 pm today. The duo went to the river to wash clothes. Locals and the fire brigade are carrying out the rescue operation.
