'Men and women come here and show unwanted behaviour'

j

KOZHIKODE: BJP and Mahila Morcha workers took to Konnad beach with brooms to protest against the inappropriate behavior of individuals frequenting the area. They expressed concerns over the misconduct exhibited by both men and women including alleged drug use and indecent acts, which are negatively impacting the environment for families and children visiting the beach.

The activists highlighted instances of alleged drug consumption, including ganja, MDMA and brown sugar and emphasized the need to address such issues to maintain the safety and cleanliness of the beach. They condemned the leniency shown towards those engaging in illegal activities, such as drug use and called for stricter enforcement measures by the authorities.

Despite the presence of police at the scene, the activists alleged that no intervention was made to address the anti-social behavior occurring at the beach. They emphasized their commitment to continuing the protest until effective measures are implemented to curb such activities and ensure a safe environment for all visitors.

The Mahila Morcha activists reiterated their stance against the presence of anti-social elements on the beach and urged authorities to take decisive action to address the concerns raised by the community. They emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity of public spaces like Konnad beach for the well-being of families and children.
