Condition of COVID patient undergoing treatment in Kozhikode MCH critical

KOZHIKODE: The condition of the patient confirmed of COVID-19 and undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Medical College continues to be critical. The 33-year-old youth of Niligiri arrived from Kuwait four days back. Seven were confirmed of COVID in Kozhikode yesterday.

Meantime, restrictions are being tightened in Malappuram where COVID is a serious cause of concern. The directive is that vehicles going through national highway in Edappal should cross the containment zone in half an hour. There is no permission for people to disembark in between. A meet will be convened to discuss the emergency steps to be taken following the announcement of two panchayats and 47 wards in Ponnani municipality as containment zones in Malappuram.

There will be more restrictions from today in areas where there is transmission of the virus. Night curfew has been intensified in the capital city. There will be strict checking in all main roads.
