Unrest in Middle East again; Iran attacks UAE, Qatar, high alert

ABU DHABI: Iran has attacked the United Arab Emirates and Qatar again. Iran has claimed to have attacked Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. The UAE and Qatari defense ministries have also announced that they are defending against the attack. Reports say explosions are being heard in various places in Qatar. Iran's attack is targeting the US air base in Qatar.


Reports say that there are missile and drone attacks in Kuwait City, Jordan and Bahrain. People have been asked to be vigilant. Iranian state media reported that Iran attacked Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan.

Meantime, Iran had earlier closed the Strait of Hormuz following the conflict. US attacked Iran on Saturday after Iran attacked the ships in Hormuz. The US Central Command responded that the attack was carried out in the interests of maritime security in the region. The US military said in a statement that it would eliminate Iran's ability to attack ships. This is the third phase of the US attack on Iran. Iran's state broadcaster reported that explosions occurred in the major cities of Azaluye, Deir ez-Zor, Bushehr, Bandar Abbas and Sirik on Iran's southern coast.
