Actress alleges harassment in public place, ‘where is the safety being promised’

BENGALURU: Actress Divya Suresh and Bigg Boss fame (Kannada) alleged harassment in a public place. She revealed the bad experience she faced via a social media post. She mentioned in the post that when she was walking with her cousin in Bengaluru, a man followed her and showed obscene gestures.

‘When I was walking with my cousin towards our car at around 11.30 pm, a man started following us. While following us, he was touching himself. After noticing it, we called him out but he didn’t stop. He continued until we got into our car. No woman should have to face this because she is walking at night. Where is the safety being promised,’ she mentioned in the post on social media. She shared the clippings of the incident.

Some of her famous Kannada serials are Nanna Hendthi MBBS and Jodi Hakki. She won the Miss India South title in 2017. Her film debut was also in the same year with the Kannada film #9 Hilton Cross. She has also acted in Rowdy Baby, Kempu Haladi Hasiru and Hiranya. She was a contestant on Bigg Boss Kannada season 8 aired in 2021.
