Heavy rain: Holiday declared for schools and colleges in this district tomorrow

THRISSUR: The district administration has declared a holiday for all educational institutions in Thrissur on July 4 (Saturday) as heavy rainfall continues across the district.

District Collector Shikha Surendran said the holiday will apply to all educational institutions, including professional colleges, government, aided and unaided schools, CBSE and ICSE schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, anganwadis, madrasas and tuition centres.

The Collector urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel in view of the prevailing weather conditions. However, the notification clarified that previously scheduled examinations and interviews will proceed without change.
