
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Kerala is likely to receive rainfall for the next five days, with several districts expected to experience heavy showers. A yellow alert has been issued in several districts, and people have been advised to remain cautious.
A yellow alert has been declared today in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts. Isolated heavy rainfall has been predicted in these areas. The IMD defines heavy rainfall as rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm within 24 hours.
