THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said that a legal advice has not yet been received in the monthly payoff case and that he would discuss the matter with the chief minister as soon as it is obtained. He said that no one should be relieved, and that the legal advice would be obtained today or tomorrow. The minister also said that he is not concerned about the allegation that he had accepted money and that he had already given an explanation regarding the matter.
Chennithala said he had not intervened in the investigation related to the alleged fraud carried out in Messi's name and had not instructed anyone to make any arrests.
‘Not even for a second was Reporter TV's broadcast disrupted. Nothing illegal was done. Everything was carried out on the basis of the FIR. Protecting media freedom is one of the important responsibilities of the UDF government. Media activists in Kerala have complete freedom. The police will not take any action that obstructs their freedom. Journalists can work fearlessly in Kerala. This government should not be evaluated based on the experiences under the previous government,’ he said.
