THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) has moved 21 more services online, meaning applicants no longer need to visit its offices to submit applications.

The decision comes amid a sharp increase in complaints that applicants are being forced to approach agents for MVD services, with agents allegedly charging excessive fees.

With the addition of the 21 services, a total of 60 MVD services can now be accessed by applying online. For certain services, applicants will also be able to speak directly with officials through a video call facility.
