Woman's cries from car spark kidnapping scare; police chase ends in unexpected twist

THRISSUR: There was a big twist when a vehicle was stopped on suspicion of kidnapping a woman. The police intercepted a car following reports of a woman being abducted. However, the police later confirmed that the incident was merely the result of a verbal argument between a married couple.

The incident happened on Sunday at around 1:45 pm near the MES Junction at Chēttuva in Thrissur. A local resident of Chettuva noticed a woman crying inside a car heading towards Pokkulangara and he immediately alerted the Vadanappally Police Station, providing the vehicle's registration number.

Police then sent out an emergency alert to nearby stations and launched a search for the vehicle. Around 2:40 pm, officers located the car at Perinjanam under the Mathilakam Police Station limits.
