‘I led the start of Padma Café; People spreading false propaganda are now shamelessly taking credit’

KOLLAM: K B Ganesh Kumar stepped forward strongly criticising the inauguration of NSS’ Padma Café in Punalur on Saturday. Ganesh Kumar said that he was the one who led the Padma Café project and that those spreading false propaganda against him are now shamelessly taking credit for it. He said he knew about the inauguration through the media and is extremely happy about it. He responded via a Facebook post.

‘I led the project and set up the café in this manner. When I met local media representatives two days ago, I had pointed backed by authentic bank records, the actual amount spent on the construction of the Padma Café. It should be remembered that this was concealed and a political conspiracy was carried out by spreading false propaganda against me during election time. After spreading fabricated figures and making false allegations against me, it is amusing to see them now shamelessly taking credit for the beautiful completion of the café. I extend my congratulations to them with a sense of pride, Ganesh Kumar mentioned in the post.

I am extremely happy to know through media that Padma Café of the Pathanapuram Taluk NSS Union in Punalur will be inaugurated tomorrow (12-09-2026). Padma Café was inaugurated several months ago after conducting a Ganapathi homam and a traditional housewarming ceremony. Although it starts functioning only now, I can proudly remember that the café was fully completed during the period when I was the president of the NSS Taluk Union.

It is gratifying to see the new organisers taking pride in the excellence of the café, which is now being inaugurated without any changes to the work that had already been completed under my leadership. Over the past two or three days, I have been seeing reactions on social media from people who have visited the place.

People have described it as having beautiful interiors and modern facilities that cannot be found in any other Padma Café in Kerala. I led the project and set up the café in this manner. In fact, when I met local media representatives two days ago, I had pointed out, with the authenticity of bank records, the actual amount spent on constructing the Padma Café. It should also be remembered that, by concealing these facts, a political conspiracy was carried out against me during the election by spreading false propaganda. After spreading fabricated figures, which had no connection whatsoever with the truth, and making false allegations against me, it is ironic to see them now, without any shame, taking credit for the beautiful completion of the café.
