‘V D Satheesan has invited for swearing-in-ceremony; three designated MLAs will attend’

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president and Nemom-designated MLA Rajeev Chandrasekhar will attend the swearing-in ceremony of V D Satheesan as the new chief minister of Kerala. He also informed that the two other BJP-designated MLAs will also attend the function. He informed this on social media.

Chief Minister-designate VD Satheesan has invited me to the swearing-in ceremony over phone. I conveyed my thanks and best wishes to him. My fellow MLAs and colleagues from the BJP/NDA front will attend the function on May 18.

The swearing-in ceremony to be held at the Central Stadium on Monday at 10 am will be attended by the Chief Ministers of the Congress-ruled states of Karnataka, Telangana and Himachal Pradesh, as well as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay. The Chief Secretary has sent invitation letters to them.

Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar will also attend. Since Team UDF has won, V D Satheesan is of the stand that the entire cabinet should be sworn in.
