Bright future cut short: CMS College student Mohammed Saif killed by lightning strike

KOTTAYAM: A 20-year-old student was struck by lightning and killed while bathing outside his home on Friday evening. The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Saif, a second-year undergraduate student at CMS College and the son of K.S. Irshad, a resident of Koovappally, Kottayam.

The accident occurred around 6:30 pm. Mohammed Saif is survived by his father and his mother, Raihanath. His body will be released to his relatives following a postmortem examination at Kottayam Medical College. The burial is scheduled for Saturday.
