Gas leaked, fire in Boby Chemmanur’s ‘1000 Acre’ resort, tourists evacuated

WAYANAD: A fire broke out in Boby Chemmanur's ‘1,000 Acre’ resort. The fire broke out in the toddy shop behind the tea factory around noon. Initial information is that the fire was caused by a gas leak. No one was injured as people were evacuated from the area immediately.


The thatched roofs were completely destroyed in the fire. The fire was extinguished by the fire force from Kalpetta. There were many tourists in the place when the fire broke out. Everyone was quickly evacuated to safe places. A major tragedy was averted.


A woman tourist had died when a tent collapsed at a resort in Wayanad. The dead was Nishma of Akambadam in Nilambur. The accident happened in Meppadi 900 Kandi. The ten made of rotten logs collapsed. The tent, which was built at a resort called 900 Ventures, collapsed. Two people were also injured in the accident. They are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
