THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The march to the Secretariat led by the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Samyukta Samiti, raising demands such as implementation of caste reservation, ensuring reservation in aided-private-temporary appointments, etc., turned into a sea of ​​protesters. Thousands of people from various districts participated in the march that started from Museum Junction at around 12 noon.

The march was led by the Samyukta Samiti of the organizations K.P.M.S. K.S.S., K.T.M.S., A.K.P.S., K.S.S., and K.S.W.S. The march and dharna in front of the secretariat were held demanding the non-implementation of Sub-Classification in backward reservations, abandoning the creamy layer in higher education, and distributing grants. The protest dharna was inaugurated by KPMS General Secretary PM Vinod. "The 35 lakh backward classes in Kerala are being ignored when it comes to ensuring reservation in appointments made by the central and state governments. We will respond to this in the local body elections and the assembly elections," he said.

KPMS President Dr. CK Surendranath, KTMS President Dr. P Premachandran, AKPS President PN Sukumaran, KSS President Karuppaiah, KSSS President P Venugopal, KSWS General Secretary S Ajayan, N Vijayan, Sunil Valanchuzhi, K Somarajan, G Surendran, Varadarajan and others spoke.
