PHILADELPHIA: Brazil got back to winning ways eliminating Haiti from the world cup tournament on the match held on Saturday. Matheus Cunha, who replaced newcomer Igor Thiago, scored a brace while Vinicius Junior settled the game with a superb finish to make it three for the Selecao.
Brazil scored all of their goals in the first half. Haiti changed to a 5-4-1 formation in the second half from the 4-4-2. This paid dividends as the score remained unchanged as Brazil could not penetrate the defence in the second half.
With Morocco easing past Scotland with a narrow win, Brazil made their way to the top of the group. Their next match against Scotland will be crucial. Superstar Neymar is expected to play for the team from the knockout stages.
