'Rs one crore 'deal' and Udaipur rendezvous'; Police find new evidence in Pune murder case

PUNE: The investigation team found more evidence in the case of the murder of young businessman Ketan Agarwal in Maharashtra. Officials said that Siya Goyal took Rs 1 crore from Ketan on the pretext of shopping for their wedding and gave it to her beau, Chetan Chaudhary. Officials said that Siya admitted to this during interrogation. It is reported that Chetan used this money to build his career and business needs.

Meanwhile, the investigation team found that Siya and Chetan travelled to Udaipur weeks before the engagement to spend time together. Mobile phone forensic examination also revealed that Siya called Chetan 34 minutes before killing Ketan. According to this, it was on Chetan's instructions that Ketan was taken to a viewpoint in the fort, seldom accessed by tourists. Siya and Chetan deleted chats and voice notes from the last three months from their phones in the hope that no one would know about the murder conspiracy. The cyber department is also trying to recover these chats with the help of forensic experts.

Real estate businessman Ketan fell to his death from a mountaintop in Lohagad Fort on the 18th. It was initially thought to be an accidental death, but Siya and Chetan’s role in the murder emerged later after police inspected the crucial CCTV footage near the fort.

After Ketan’s murder, the two discerned that it would at least take three years for both of them to get married again for the controversy or rumours to die down. Meanwhile, Chetan went to the extent of seeking permission to talk with Siya’s parents.
