Man, daughter found dead at rented house in Kasargod

KASARGOD: A man and his daughter were found dead at their rented house in Kasargod’s Chemmanad. The two dead have been identified as Ganesan (47) of Meepugiri and daughter Vaishnavi (17), a plus two student. They were found dead at their rented house in Chemmanad’s Koliyadukkom.

Ganesan found his daughter hanging at 9.30 pm Saturday night. He later informed the local residents about it and then Ganesan was found dead Sunday morning. He may have taken the drastic step after upset over his daughter’s death. On being informed, the police reached the spot and started the inquest proceedings. Meantime, it is not clear why his daughter committed suicide.

The local residents said Ganesan’s son had gone for catering work at the time of the incident. Ganesan’s wife is working as a home nurse at a house in Kumbla. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
