Armed Maoists spotted in Wayanad; pamphlets were distributed, say locals

WAYANAD: A recent report claimed that armed Maoists were spotted in Wayanad. The Maoist presence was found in the Perinchor hill region in Wayanad.

People living in the nearby colony said that there were two women and two men in the group. They also said that the group visited the houses in the locality and distributed pamphlets. The posters are in the name of the CPI Maoist Banasurasagar Committee. Police and Thunderbolt arrived on the scene and conducted an inspection.
