AKG Centre attack: Accused remanded to judicial custody

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The court remanded Youth Congress leader Jithin to judicial custody in the AKG Centre attack case. Following the completion of 3 days of custody, the crime branch produced Jithin in court yesterday. The investigating team told the court that the accused said that he had left the T-shirt he was wearing during the time of the incident in the lake. The investigation team is yet to find the scooter used by the accused. The Crime Branch has received information that the scooter belongs to a Youth Congress leader. A detailed investigation will be conducted in the coming days.

The crime branch informed the court that the accused was taken to the AKG centre to collect evidence. They also said that they have recovered the duplicate Woodland shoe used by the accused at the time of the incident.

Jithin was produced in court after collecting evidence from the AKG centre and other places. The report also states that the accused is not fully cooperating with the investigation of the case.
