MIAMI: Colombia reached the knockout stage after holding Portugal to a goalless draw in Group K of the World Cup. Portugal also advanced to the knockout stage as second-place finishers.
Colombia topped the group with seven points. Colombia displayed fierce attacking football with Luiz Diaz and James Rodriguez anchoring the game. If not for the missed opportunities, Colombia would have needed the match with an emphatic win. Portugal players were seen struggling to cope with the pace of the Colombian forwards. While Colombia had six shots on target, Portugal only managed two shots on goal. Colombia scored in the 90th minute, but the referee ruled the goal offside.
