Case against teacher for brutally assaulting minor boy for delay in copying from board

KANNUR: The police have registered a case against a teacher for brutally assaulting a class two boy in Kannur. The Mattannur police have registered a case against a teacher Vipin of Pattannur UP School. He was booked on the complaint filed by the boy’s mother.

The incident happened on June 16. The boy, who reached home had told his parents about it, but they did not pay heed to it. When he suffered a back pain, his parents took him to the hospital. The doctors after examination informed his parents that he has bruises and swelling on his body. All about the incident was informed to the Childline.

The Childline workers then registered the boy’s statement. The police registered the case based on their information and the complaint of his parents.

The complaint states that the child was beaten up for the delay in copying what the teacher had written on the board. The child has injuries on the boy’s ears.
