Denied alcohol, gang comes back and vandalises bar in Kollam

KOLLAM: A gang of youths went on a rampage at a bar in Oachira, smashing the premises and throwing liquor bottles. The violent attack was triggered by a dispute over serving alcohol the previous night. The attackers arrived in a car with a Malappuram registration.

The incident took place at the Regency Bar in Oachira on Monday. On Sunday night, just before the bar was about to close, the group arrived and demanded alcohol. When the staff refused to serve them, the men lost their temper and picked a fight with the employees. Although the police arrived and settled the issue that night, the gang returned the next evening and launched a brutal attack. The Oachira police have registered a case and started a manhunt for the suspects.
