Dispute leads to murder; husband beats woman to death in Perumbavoor

KOCHI: In a shocking incident, a woman was beaten to death by her husband in Perumbavoor. The incident took place at Ponjassery in Perumbavoor on Sunday night. The deceased has been identified as Narseena Khathoor, 29, a native of Nagaon, Assam. Police have taken her husband, Rabul Ameen, into custody in connection with the incident. According to police, a family dispute is suspected to have led to the murder.

Rabul, who works at a plywood company in Perumbavoor, was living with his family in a rented house at Ponjassery. Police said that an argument between the couple turned violent and later resulted in the woman’s death. Narseena died after allegedly being attacked with a weapon.

The couple has a three-year-old child. The woman's body has been kept at a private hospital in Perumbavoor. Police said that more details will be known after the post-mortem examination.
