Three Bangladeshi nationals arrested in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: Three Bangladeshi nationals were arrested from Mavoor in Kozhikode for allegedly staying in the country without valid documents. The arrested persons were identified as Mohammed Wulhussein, Mohammed Hasan Ali, and Mohammed Mehadi Hasan.

A case has been registered against them for illegally entering India. Police will investigate the source of the fake identity documents and SIM cards found with them. According to their statement, the accused reached Kozhikode 20 days ago.

Following the arrest, Intelligence Bureau officials questioned the three accused. Investigation agencies are checking how they obtained fake identity documents and SIM cards. They are also investigating whether they had any other connections in the state.

Police found that the accused had stayed at Edavannappara in Malappuram before arriving in Kozhikode. Their phones and other documents have been seized by the police. The police will also investigate the people who provided jobs to the accused. The three were working as construction workers. They were arrested last night from a place where migrant workers were staying, following a tip-off received by the police.
