Mahout stabbed to death in drunken brawl at Kadavoor in Kollam

KOLLAM: A youth was stabbed to death during a drunken brawl between friends at Kadavoor in Kollam. The dead has been identified as Raju, third mahout of elephant Shivaraju of Thrikkadavoor Sree Mahadeva Temple. He is from Palkulangara.

The incident happened Thursday night in an inebriated condition. A dispute that broke out escalated into a violent clash leading to the murder. The police have taken Mahesh, the second accused into custody. The prime accused, Shyam Kumar is on the run, and a search has been launched to trace him.
