THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A fire broke out after a lorry losing control rammed into a hotel. The incident happened Monday night at Attingal in Thiruvananthapuram. The cabin of the lorry has been completely gutted in the fire. The fire spread to the hotel also.
The lorry registered in Tamil Nadu met with the accident. There were six employees in the hotel at the time of the accident. A major tragedy was averted as people seeing the lorry coming ran from there. No casualties have been reported. Although there were gas cylinders in the lorry and the hotel, the fire did not spread.
Fire force teams from Attingal and Kallambalam arrived and brought the fire under control. The fire was completely extinguished after one and half hours. Initial reports say the lorry was speeding.
