Three in custody over death of CITU activist in Pathanamthitta

PATHANAMTHITTA: Three people have been taken into custody in connection with the murder of CITU activist at Madathummoozhi in Perunad. CITU activist Jithin (36) of Perunad Mambra was stabbed to death last night. It is heard that all those in custody are Jithin’s friends. Five more people are yet to be arrested. The incident happened near the Kochupalam bridge in Perunadu, Madathumoozhi, at around 10 pm on Sunday. Although the injured Jithin was taken to the hospital, his life could not be saved.

Two sustained injuries in the clash between two groups. One of them is undergoing treatment at Pathanamthitta General Hospital. Police said the attack was a continuation of a clash that took place a few days ago over purposefully directing bike lights on faces.
