Popular Front worker arrested over murder of RSS activist Sanjith

PALAKKAD: Police have arrested a Popular Front worker over the murder of RSS activist Sanjith in Palakkad. Police said that the accused was directly involved in the murder. However, the Palakkad SP said that further details of the accused could not be disclosed.

The crucial arrest in the case comes eight days after Sanjith was murdered. The probe team had arrested three persons in connection with the case on Sunday. The 3 accused were identified as Subair, a bakery worker from Palakkad, and Salam and Ishaq, both from Nemmara. A 34-member team led by Palakkad SP R Viswanath is in charge of the investigation.

Sanjith, a native of Elapully in Palakkad was hacked to death by a group of people on November 15.
