Suresh Gopi lights candle and prays at Kurishupally church in Pala

Actor Suresh Gopi lighted candles and offered prayers at the St Mary’s Church in Pala. He reached Pala while returning from Kumily and was proceeding to the capital city after the shoot of his new film ‘Kaval’. After praying here, he visited the St Jude Pilgrim Centre in Kizhathadiyoor.

The first shot of his 250th film Ottakomban was taken in front of the church. Suresh Gopi plays a Christian in the film produced by Tomichan Mulakupadom under the banner of Mulakupadam Films.

The film Ottakomban had gone through a lot of controversy. The controversy was that the story and characters were similar to Prithviraj-Shaji Kailas-Jinu Abraham film Kaduva. Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan was later renamed Ottakomban.
