THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: While the people of Kerala are fighting together to overcome the ongoing flood, many have come up with valuable contributions to the Chief Minister's distress relief fund. Now, Ils Sarkona, the sister of the Latvian woman who was killed in the capital city a year back, has come up donating a share of her salary to the relief fund.
The news was announced by CM Pinarayi Vijayan through his official Facebook page. He said that Ilis had messaged him saying that she would like to support the state during these testing situations. The CM stated that apart from wishing Kerala to stay strong, Ilis had also donated a huge portion of her salary to the relief fund. While hailing Ilis' great gesture he added that her message would provide confidence to the state. He further added that Ilisa would be honoured by the entire state for her unconditional support during such a situation.
