HYDERABAD: Hyderabad FC scripted a remarkable comeback win (2-1) after trailing at half-time against Kerala Blasters FC in Indian Super League at Gachibowli Stadium here on Saturday.

It was Kerala which took the lead in the 34th minute as K.P. Rahul and Sahal Abdul Samad combined well. Rahul’s short lob to Sahal was returned with a neat through pass which was latched onto by the former to lead the ball beyond the goalkeeper.

Hyderabad also had its moments in the first period but couldn’t make use of it.

Kerala Blasters constantly asked question of the opponents with the duo of Rahul and Sahal on the left flank and the frequent forays by the captain Bartholomew Ogbeche from the centre.

As the play resumed after the break, it was a totally different Hyderabad FC which went on the offensive.

In the 54th minute, a foul by Mouhamadou Moustapha on Mohammed Yasir saw Hyderabad FC earn a penalty which in turn was smartly converted by midfielder Marko Stankovic.

It was another foul by Moustapha on Nikhil Poojary which gave Hyderabad FC a free-kick in the 84th minute. A left-foot curler by Marcelo flew into the left corner of the goal, much to the dismay of Kerala camp.
