Earlier, it was announced that director-script writer Ali Akbar and BJP leader M T Ramesh would take part in the programme. The rally was scheduled to take place at 3 pm from Neelechukunnil to Kuttiyadi.

The Rashtra Raksha Sangamam was also organised at 5 pm in Kuttiyadi. The other day there were no much participants at Jana Jagratha Sadas organised by BJP mandalam Committee at Ambalappuzha Valanjavazhi . Even before the beginning of the programme the merchants put down their shutters. Locals remained inside their houses.

Those in the seats in front of the stage where M T Ramesh was giving explanation on CAA were mostly BJP workers.
