job-time

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As the morning temperature is rising, Labour Commissioner Pranab Jyothinath has issued an order rescheduling the working time of labourers working in the sun.

From Wednesday till April 30, those who work in the morning shift will have resting time from 12 pm to 3 pm. Therefore their working time will be from 7am to 7pm.

The new arrangement has been made as there are chances for sun-stroke.

Morning and night shifts have been rescheduled to end at 12 pm and begin at 3pm respectively.

Meanwhile, areas which is more than 3000 feet above sea level have been exempted from the new timings.

If there is need to change the dates according regional circumstances, Regional Joint Labour Commissioners and Chief Inspector of Plantations should report to the Labour commissioner.
