Tamil Nadu denies pass to Keralites wishing to return to state

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Government rejected the application for travel pass of various people wishing to return to Kerala. The Tamil Nadu Government turned down the application of Keralites who have obtained the passes of Kerala. The DGPs of Kerala and Tamil Nadu held discussions on Sunday. Following that, they were instructed to apply for Tamil Nadu pass only after obtaining the pass of Kerala. Those who waited accordingly received a message informing them that the application has been rejected.

Many Keralites are waiting to return to Kerala as Tamil Nadu has been badly hit by the virus. Meantime, Tamil Nadu is issuing passes for marriage, death and medical emergencies. Those who wish to return to Kerala from Tamil Nadu due to COVID fear are denied travel permit.
